The research team around Mag. Anita Onay, PhD, Assoz. FH-Prof. Manuel Ferdik, DI Christina Stampfer and Benjamin Massow, MSc are pleased about this funding commitment of the Province of Tyrol. The lighthouse project "Digital Production Roadmap" is supported within a technology fund in the area of digitalization and digital transformation. This will strengthen Tyrol as a business location - against the backdrop of ongoing and future digital changes and challenges - and make it competitive.
The long-term goal of the lighthouse project is to develop new strategies with participating companies for diverse and rapidly changing production and work processes. The project focuses on a practical and company-specific approach. In this way, the production roadmap will help Tyrolean companies to define target states and to embark on a future-oriented "digital path". In addition, Tyrolean companies are enabled to develop the production roadmap independently and continuously.
The MCI will act as a communication hub for manufacturing companies, ensuring an exchange of information and knowledge in the form of seminars, workshops, training courses, knowledge sharing and events. At the start of the project, the participating corporate partners are Josef Recheis Eierteigwarenfabrik und Walzmühle GmbH, KS Kneissl & Senn Technologie GmbH, Pfeifer Holding GmbH and Swarovski KG.
However, the developed concepts and tools shall not only be accessible to the project partners and participating companies, but to all interested Tyrolean production companies.
