MCI Celebrates Erasmus Days 2024

Exploring the range of Erasmus+ opportunities at info event

Every year in October, the #ErasmusDays are celebrated across Europe. During this week of action, a wide range of Erasmus+-related activities take place to raise awareness of the achievements of the European Union and the projects and opportunities offered by Erasmus+ as well as to inspire people for the European idea.

At MCI, the week from October 14 to 19, 2024 was mainly dedicated to the #ErasmusDays. Erasmus+ info points were set up at the various MCI locations to inform students about the numerous opportunities offered by the program. They not only received answers to questions about their semester abroad, but also learned about the opportunities of Erasmus+ internships and the wide range of offers from the European University ULYSSEUS in which MCI is an important part. And, of course, they were not only able to satisfy their hunger for information, but also to enjoy a pretzel or two.

Meanwhile, the ULYSSEUS network was also active on social media. Throughout the #ErasmusDays, students from various Ulysseus university partners posted testimonials on Instagram.

The Erasmus+ program is of central importance to MCI's internationalization strategy, as almost 60% of outgoing students spend their semester abroad at an MCI partner university in the EU.

MCI students also take advantage of Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) or Erasmus+ internships, while lecturers and staff also benefit from the Erasmus program in the context of teaching or staff exchanges. The MCI thus makes use of the entire spectrum of the Erasmus+ program.

And of course, MCI is delighted to welcome around 300 incoming Erasmus students every year, who, together with the other international students, shape and contribute to the international atmosphere at the MCI.
