MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® was founded in Innsbruck 30 years ago. Over the past 30 years, the university of applied sciences has enabled thousands of students to gain international experience:
To mark MCI’s 30th anniversary, the International Relations office launched two photo contests and invited incoming students and alumni to share their most beautiful and memorable moments. A committee made up of MCI staff selected the winners from a total of 25 submitted photos.

As Incoming Students at MCI (Incomings)
From unforgettable friendships to inspiring experiences, the touching submissions made it difficult for the jury to select the winners.
Winner of the “Study or Internship Abroad” category: Elena Haselwanter.
Elena Haselwanter completed her bachelor’s degree in Social Work at MCI and did her internship in Kenya.
“My internship in Kenya took me far out of my comfort zone. It helped me grow as a person, opened my eyes to new perspectives on the world, and inspired me to take a more critical look at my own privileged reality. My time there had a lasting impact on me and shaped my path – ultimately, this internship has even become my home, because today I live in Kenya.”
Winner of “As an Incoming Student at MCI”: Jan Soukup
Jan Soukup is from the Czech Republic and is pursuing his master’s degree at Škoda Auto University. He is currently spending a semester in the master's program International Business & Management at MCI.
During his time at MCI, he is making the most of the adventurous outdoor activities available around Innsbruck.
