Yevgen Bogodistov is a passionate researcher and educator exploring how people and organisations navigate change and prepare for the future. His research connects strategy with emotions, organisational capabilities, and information technology, with a particular interest in how individuals and organisations develop the capacity to adapt.
He teaches Strategic Management, Business Communication, and Research Methods, bringing together academic perspectives, practical tools, and experiential learning. His teaching is also informed by hands-on experience in strategy-making: before entering academia, he worked as a Chief Operating Officer in a mid-sized company, gaining first-hand experience of the challenges of turning strategic ideas into organisational action.
His goal as a lecturer is simple: to make strategy something students do, experience, and question—not just something they learn about.
The future-ready organisation is not simply one with a good strategy—it is one that can adapt, innovate, and continuously develop new capabilities. This course explores the connection between the individual and the organisation: from motivation, creativity, and readiness for change to strategy, organisational capabilities, and dynamic capabilities.
Students learn how individuals shape organisational change—and how organisations can create the conditions in which people are willing and able to innovate. Through Design Thinking, they experience how creative problem-solving can turn uncertainty into opportunities. A strategy simulation game then puts these ideas into practice, allowing students to experience how changing environments challenge strategic positioning and force organisations to adapt.
“The red thread throughout the course is preparing for the future(s). Rather than trying to predict one future, students learn to recognise uncertainty, explore alternative possibilities, and develop the mindset and capabilities needed to remain effective when the environment changes,” so Bogodistov about the course.
From individual readiness to organisational resilience—from creativity to strategy—from today's decisions to tomorrow's possibilities.
