Erasmus Days 2026

During October 12 to 16, 2026, Erasmus Days were celebrated across Europe. But why and what stands behind it?

Erasmus Days is an annual celebration of the Erasmus+ program, offering a variety of events worldwide that promote cultural exchange, learning, and international collaboration. In 2026, the 10th edition ran from October 12th to 17th, under the theme “Union of Skills”.

MCI took the opportunity to raise awareness of Erasmus+ programs through an engaging Wheel of Fortune game, interactive social media activities, and the distribution of snacks and giveaways from all over the world.

But what is Erasmus+ all about? Here’s a brief overview:

Erasmus+ is the EU program for promoting education, vocational training, youth, and sports in Europe.

The program for the 2021–2027 period places a strong emphasis on:

• social inclusion
• environmental and digital transformation
• promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.

Individuals such as students (studying abroad or doing an internship), high school students, apprentices, teachers, educators, and youth workers, as well as young people and organizations such as schools, colleges, educational institutions, youth organizations, and sports clubs, can participate in the program.
