The first dual study program at MCI, in the province of Tyrol and in its form in the EUREGIO “Tyrol - South Tyrol - Trentino” welcomes a new cohort for the fifth time: On September 1, 2025, the 2025 cohort of students began its dual education, which is made possible in cooperation with nine corporate partners from North, East and South Tyrol.
Starting this year, construction company Baupuls GmbH joins the study program, offering dual training places at the headquarter PlanQuartier in Kematen.
At the end of their first week of studies at MCI, the new students were ceremoniously welcomed to the program by the program team together with the corporate partners and active students from the higher years as well as alumni at a joint kick-off on Friday, September 5, 2025.
After his welcoming words, Head of Studies Werner Stadlmayr was able to ask the company partners present for their introductory words in order to give the students present an understanding of the range of trades, departments and services represented in Smart Building Technologies.
The new fellow students on the course were also welcomed by the active students of the higher years: Roger-Enrique Fitsch, as the representative of the 2024 cohort, addressed his greetings to the new fellow students.
Traditionally, the degree program hosted a cozy get-together in the auditorium of MCI campus Technology & Life Sciences after the welcoming speeches. In this setting, the students were able to talk to all of the corporate partners and make connections across the respective partnerships. It is important to everyone involved to see the big picture of the program and to network all participants in order to understand the connections between the individual trades and to deepen synergies, commitment and motivation.
Nine companies from North, East and South Tyrol offer training positions to the students of the dual study program in order to promote the smart building technology of tomorrow. In line with the slogan "Combine studies & professional practice", dual students at MCI can enjoy the benefits of an academic education with simultaneous work experience in the comprehensive field of building technology.
