Exploring the aspiration to become an entrepreneur

On Friday, October 25, 2024, the “Entrepreneurship” seminar in the Business & Management for Professionals program of MCI was transformed into a stage for innovative founders and inspiring success stories. Under the direction of professor Bernd Kirschner, the event “Business not as usual – The joy of being an entrepreneur” took place.

The talks were given by impressive personalities from the start-up scene, who shared their experiences, challenges, and success stories. The Managing Director of TYROLPILZ Myzelia Produktions- & Vertriebs GmbH, Cornelia Plank, opened the series with the exciting impulse “The world belongs to the brave”. Other inspiring contributions came from Fabian Kainz, Co-Founder & COO at Poool Software & Consulting GmbH, who spoke about innovative approaches in the software industry, and Engin Dogan, founder of the zero waste store greenroot.

Tobias Schrott, founder of Giggle GmbH, discussed courage and perseverance in start-ups in his presentation “Never Stop”. Simon Kühn, Managing Director of iQuadrant GmbH & Hapymio GmbH, gave valuable insights into the growth of young companies with “Everything begins with a dream: of setbacks, turning points and lessons learned on my path to becoming an entrepreneur”.

Bernd Kirschner was delighted with the success, the lively interest, and the intriguing discussion on the topic of starting a business in Tyrol. The event showed that entrepreneurship is more than just a profession – it is a vocation that combines creativity, perseverance, and the courage to break new ground.
