Economy in Transition: Shaping the Future Together

Date 2025-07-25

How our study programs address the megatrends of tomorrow

The global economy is undergoing profound transformation – driven by digitalization, sustainability, new technologies, and evolving business models. Artificial intelligence, the circular economy, and the platform economy are no longer abstract concepts; they are increasingly shaping entrepreneurial thinking and action. At the Department of Business & Management, our degree programs not only address these megatrends – they empower our students to actively shape change.

Future-oriented curricula

Our degree programs – Business & Management (Bachelor), Business & Management for Professionals (Bachelor), and International Business & Management (Master) – offer much more than just fundamental business knowledge. They are intentionally designed to systematically integrate current economic developments and future-oriented topics into teaching. Whether it's data literacy, sustainable business, digital transformation, or entrepreneurial thinking – we prepare our students for a dynamic, globally connected economic world.

Experiencing and shaping trends

In hands-on projects, our students work on real-world challenges – often in collaboration with companies that are themselves in the midst of transformation. This creates innovative solutions at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and business innovation. Events like “Business Friday,” partnerships with start-ups, and interdisciplinary project weeks provide direct insights into the innovation potential of modern enterprises.

Artificial intelligence as a game changer

We place special focus on the role of artificial intelligence in business. Our courses go beyond technical foundations – they also teach strategic know-how: How can AI make companies more efficient, customer-centric, and sustainable? What ethical considerations must be taken into account? Our faculty not only bring deep subject expertise, but also a critical perspective – the key to true innovation competence.

Faculty as catalysts for change

Our lecturers and professors are not only up to date in their fields but are also highly dedicated educators. They support students individually, open new perspectives, and bring their own research and practical experience into the classroom. In times of change, we need individuals who provide guidance and inspire a passion for the future – exactly what our degree programs offer.

Skills that matter

Our graduates are in demand – in companies undergoing transformation, in organizations seeking innovative solutions, and in start-ups exploring new paths. With solid business knowledge and a keen sense for trends like digitalization, sustainability, and AI, our students bring exactly what’s needed to help shape the economy of tomorrow.

Our goal is not just to educate students, but to empower them to rethink the economy. We see ourselves as a vibrant, future-oriented department that doesn’t merely observe developments but actively drives them – through modern curricula, dedicated faculty, and strong ties to real-world practice. In this way, we turn education into a meaningful contribution to a sustainable, digital, and resilient economy.

Would you like to become part of this dynamic community? We look forward to meeting you!
