DOUBLE-DEGREE AGREEMENT WITH NKUST

The MCI Master degree program "International Business & Law" and the "College of Management" of the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) conclude a double-degree agreement, which offers students the opportunity to obtain two Master degrees at the same time.

Good news from the “International Business & Law” department: MCI has signed a double-degree agreement with the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) in Taiwan. This agreement offers students of the Entrepreneurial School® a particularly attractive opportunity in their studies.

The double degree enables students to obtain an MBA at NKUST in parallel with their Master degree at MCI (MA). Students complete part of their studies at MCI in Innsbruck and part of their studies at NKUST in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The program is open to students of both NKUST students and the students of the MCI Master degree program “International Business & Law”. The successful conclusion of the agreement was preceded by meticulous preparation by the two institutions, resulting in a comprehensive and regulated agreement.

NKUST was founded in 1995 and has approximately 28,000 students and more than 750,000 m² of campus. The AACSB-accredited university has been a partner of MCI since 2015.

Elena Preymann and Simon Poschinger of the Master degree program "International Business & Law" will be the first MCI students to embark on the double degree at NKUST in the upcoming winter semester. Excited and full of expectation, the two students are already looking forward to their experience abroad:

"Due to my immense interest in different cultures, languages and countries, I have always dreamed of studying in an international environment. Therefore, the opportunity of the double-degree presented the perfect location for my semester abroad. As I have never travelled to Asia before, I have always been keen on getting to know this continent and especially Taiwan, as this country is one of the most advanced cultures in conducting research and developing new technologies. I am especially looking forward to exploring the diverse wildlife of the country and to diving into the foreign culture by experiencing exotic cuisines, habits, and nature. The National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology offers a broad range of courses, ranging from science and technology to business related topics such as marketing, finance, and risk management. Hence, this university presents the perfect opportunity for my exchange as not only profound research can be conducted but also my level of knowledge in business fields can be expanded. Therefore, after successfully completing the double-degree, I will not only receive two degrees but also have made memories for my lifetime. Both are important steps on which I can build on in my future career. I am really looking forward to getting to know the Taiwanese culture and a different part of the world.”
