MCI awarded the Erasmus+ Charter by the European Union

MCI students benefit from maximum mobility in Europe

Erasmus+ is the new EU program for Education, Training, Youth and Sport for 2014-2020. MCI Management Center Innsbruck recently received the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, which offers students maximum mobility during their studies. Scholarships are available in the framework of Erasmus+ to make it easier for students to benefit from the experience of a semester abroad for study or internships.

Erasmus+ is a combined replacement in simplified form for existing programs such as Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink etc. For the EU’s current financial framework up to 2020, at least 13.01 billion euros are to be made available for Erasmus+. For the field of education, that is an increase over the previous financial framework (2007 bis 2013).

Statements:

Dr. Susanne Lichtmannegger, head of MCI International Relations: “We are proud of the fact that we can again offer our students access to these scholarships – a key factor for student mobility and the invaluable experience of studying and living abroad. In addition to a network comprising some 200 partner universities and a growing number of students from abroad, this is further proof of the international character and quality orientation of the MCI.”

Andreas Altmann, Rector of the MCI: “I am delighted that our students are being supported and strengthened in their mobility by Erasmus+. Time spent abroad as a student is an important stepping stone to professional life.”
