Modern lifestyles call for new study formats, and innovative technologies permit new methods of teaching and learning. The response of Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) is a completely new Bachelor in Business Administration based on mobile learning technologies (accreditation pending), making it easier to combine study with work, the family and leisure.

Innovative blended learning strategies facilitate independent study through interactive content design. The MCI’s eCampus supports students with modern didactic formats including webcasts, videos, blogs, moderated chats, live streams and digital course materials.

An intelligent mix of online courses, attendance modules and electronic media is the key to a combination of mobile or distance learning and personal interaction between lecturers and students for study to the highest standard. Teachers from all over the world, professional online support, interactive platforms and a full service offering ensure effective mentoring for motivated students and a successful outcome to their efforts.

The launch of the new study program was preceded by extensive development work and benchmarking with international universities and study programs (primarily in the USA, Canada, Australia, Asia, etc). The development team was accordingly made up of experts from all over the world. The MCI is convinced it has found the most effective strategy for its new online program.

The head of department will be Professor Juergen-Matthias Seeler, an online teaching expert who is currently working on international university and education projects in Africa, while the first chair has been awarded to Professor Karin Sixl-Daniell, who has developed relevant study programs in Singapore.
