Family businesses in the focus of attention at MCI

The Entrepreneurial School® and Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce launch joint initiative to support family businesses: Certificate course in Family Business available from March 18, 2016

Family businesses form the backbone of economy. They stand out due to unique success factors such as an exceptional commitment, solidarity, loyalty, long-term orientation, and a strong attachment to the respective business location.

With the establishment of the Center for Family Enterprise, the Entrepreneurial School® and Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce have increasingly promoted the innovation, strategy, internationalization, leadership, and growth of family businesses. MCI thus provides vital support for family-owned companies which constitute a mainstay of Tyrolean economy.
In addition, MCI offers valuable impetus for this economically significant sector by introducing a new certificate program in Family Business. Looking into the transfer of business ownership, MCI puts focus on a crucial process which, according to recent studies, is often neglected. The high-quality program for higher education addresses this key process, communicates necessary foundations for a successful business succession planning, and presents concrete alternatives for action. The certificate program will be launched on March 18, 2016.
