Dedicated MCI students receive Raiffeisen International Award

The Raiffeisen county bank supports excellent students in the realization of their studies abroad.

As a long-standing partner and supporter of MCI, the Raiffeisen bank appreciates both the high-quality academic education and the opportunities for intercultural and international learning provided by the Entrepreneurial School®. Thus it is the third time that the Raiffeisen International Award has been conferred to those students planning to spend their semester abroad outside the European Union. The criteria applied were the applicants’ past achievements, their professional goals and the added value that the guest university could contribute to the realization of their professional plans. The prize of 1,000 Euro respectively was awarded to three students:

Johannes Hofer, master student of Management, Communication & IT, will spend his next year of study at the renowned University of Nebraska, Omaha. Mr. Hofer has excelled in his studies and his specific career in information technology. He will make use of his stay at the University of Nebraska to complete his studies with a dual degree, awarded both by MCI and the partner university.

Simone Arlt, who is studying Food Technology & Nutrition in part-time mode, can draw on a stringent education in food technology. Her semester abroad takes her to the National University of Singapore, one of the best universities worldwide. Her main focus will lie on the development of a research topic for her master thesis, for which the University of Singapore is ideally suited.

Georg Hofer, bachelor student in Tourism & Leisure Industry has decided to spend his semester abroad at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. His career aims are aviation and tourism strategy. Excellent courses in the fields are offered by the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management which would effectively complement Mr. Hofer’s studies at MCI and further the realization of his plans.

The awards were bestowed by the head of Marketing, Christian Bevelander and MCI rector Andreas Altmann. The Tyrolean Raiffeisen banks and the Entrepreneurial School® sincerely congratulate the award winners and wish them success in their stay abroad and the realization of their academic and professional goals.
