MCI and freenet Group invest in the future of our youth

Freenet, the largest net-independent telecommunications provider in Germany, invests in tertiary education and awards three scholarships for an international MBA course at the Management Center Innsbruck.

As digital lifestyle provider freenet Group is the greatest net-independent provider of mobile connections in Germany. Beyond this the business is establishing itself as a digital lifestyle provider of internet-based applications for private customers.

The business awards three scholarships for a part-time Master degree program at MCI and funds 25 % of the student fees for the International Business MBA Online.

The English-language MBA degree in International Business Online provides high-level management and leadership skills as well as communicative and intercultural ones. Through an intelligent mix of on-campus and online modules and the use of electronic media, student presence in Innsbruck can be reduced to three weeks. The main part of the study program is conducted online, providing a maximum of flexibility in the choice of time and location.

The internationally oriented course is organized in partnership with the renowned Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC, Canada, providing the option of a dual degree, i.e. an additional Master degree.

“The success of a business is determined by the economic and entrepreneurial thinking and know-how of its employees. We consider it our social duty to encourage highly motivated students and to increase their career opportunities in a competitive global society. In MCI we have found an internationally renowned elite university as our partner”, freenet CEO Christoph Vilanek explains their involvement.

“As Entrepreneurial School® MCI furthers the competitiveness of organizations and businesses and provides a substantial contribution to their professionalization. We are delighted to have found freenet AG as a partner for our students. We will together accompany our students on their path to success”, MCI Rector Dr. Andreas Altmann states.

Applications are to be sent to stipendium@freenet.ag by August 31, 2016. The four-semester study program begins on October 17, 2016.
