KADA and MCI support professional development of top athletes

KADA and Management Center Innsbruck enter into cooperation to provide top-class Austrian athletes with a sustainable perspective beyond their sporting careers. The institutions have recently signed an agreement to join forces.

KADA builds bridges between elite sports, education, and economy with the aim of providing local athletes with successful dual careers. The association offers nationwide career counseling as well as national and international networks to aid athletes in their search for suitable education opportunities. A well-planned combination of sports and professional qualifications boosts athletes’ careers while at the same time laying the foundation for a secure livelihood beyond sports.

With their comprehensive study and professional development programs, MCI mentors the motivated striving for a career in management. MCI has introduced a range of innovative study programs which, being based on online learning, make it possible to gain top-class Bachelor and Master degrees without having to be present in Innsbruck full-time. “Blended learning”, i.e. the combination of on-campus and regularly organized online classes, enables particularly athletes to complete degrees regardless of their current location. Students are able to participate in classes even while they are at training camps, competitions, or travelling.

The innovative mobile learning strategy pursued by MCI has been a major success. Both the Business Administration Online Bachelor degree program launched in 2014 and the MBA Online program introduced one year later are highly popular. The excellent performance of graduates is also proof of the high quality of the courses, and testimony to MCI’s pioneering role as Entrepreneurial School^®.

With the recently concluded cooperation agreement with MCI, KADA once more demonstrates its commitment to top-class Austrian athletes. The partnership provides a valuable addition to KADA’s comprehensive services in career development and professional integration of sportsmen and –women.

The number of athlete applications already received by MCI is considerable: peak performance in sports and top academic achievements online will thus soon go hand in hand.
