Generation Z & the nursing profession

Sanatorium Kettenbrücke and MCI students explore demands of the young generation on the nursing profession

It has long been clear that the issue of nursing will be at the center of many health policy discussions in the coming years. The current pandemic only reinforces this urgency.

How can nurses of the Generation Z be retained in a healthcare facility? How to make the nursing profession attractive enough to attract and retain well-qualified nurses?

These and other questions will be addressed by students of the MCI's Nonprofit, Social & Health Management program starting in February in a semester-long project together with the Kettenbrücke Sanatorium. The aim is to explore the demands of Generation Z on the nursing profession and to be able to respond to them as a private clinic. Results are expected in June.
