At this year's version of the conference, which was postponed into this year to allow participants to meet in-person in Lecce, Italy, two scientific studies that were crafted at the DiBSE Department were accepted.

DiBSE Alumnus Daniel Aumayr presented the extended results of his bachelor's thesis on the topic 'U Can't (Re)touch this - a Deep Learning Approach for Detecting Image Retouching' in a poster session.

DiBSE Project Researcher Florian Merkle got accepted to hold an oral presentation on his work 'Pruning in the Face of Adversaries' in which the impact of network compression on the security of deep neural networks was examined. MCI Professor Pascal Schöttle accompanied the two young researchers.

Besides interesting presentations including keynotes of acknowledged experts from industry and academy, lots of inspiring conversations, and new connections, the MCI-delegation experienced the breath-taking Leccese Baroque architecture, fine Italian cuisine, and a sociable gala dinner on the shore of the Adriatic Sea.
