When I started my studies in "Management & Applied Computer Science" in 2004, I had no idea in which professional direction my studies at MCI would take me. The program was still relatively new, which is reflected in the fact that my fellow students and I only represented the third year.

Fast Forward 15 years I have not regretted my decision to study Management & Applied Computer Science. Despite an economically tense situation, I found a job in the Management Information Systems Team of a large Tyrolean industrial company immediately after completing my studies in 2008, where I was allowed to take on a lot of responsibility right from the start, in addition to a few stays in nearby and distant foreign countries. The fact that, although the global financial crisis had hit the world, I found such a challenging job so quickly is mainly due to the quality of my studies and the qualifications I acquired.  Thanks to the broad range of content at MCI, I was very well prepared for the challenges in the working world and was able to quickly familiarise myself with the various and exciting areas of activity.

After occupying a wide range of different positions and business areas, I joined Pfeifer Holding in Imst in June 2018 and became Head of the IT Applications Team in January 2019. As part of this role, I have the opportunity to lead a team and in addition to that I am responsible for implementing the IT strategy in the area of a global SAP implementation and other strategically essential applications.

This development is particularly noteworthy, as I graduated a relatively long time ago, I always stayed in touch with MCI and my fellow students. Last June we celebrated the anniversary of graduating, and during this event I talked to a former fellow student over a beer. During our conversation, I told him about the company’s plans for implementing SAP, and he explained to me that he had been working in SAP consulting since 2008. At the end of our "class reunion", I suggested to organize an appointment with the management of Holz Pfeifer, and since February my former fellow student and I have been leading one of the most significant ERP implementation projects at Holz Pfeifer.
