Blog-MCiT Insights - Study break in the mountains

3-Seen-Wanderung: hike

3-Seen-Wanderung: hike

After the three semesters and the challenging examination phases, it is time for MCIT students to take a break and have some quality time with their colleagues in the Tyrolean nature. A perfect fit for this occasion is a hiking trail in the Kühtai area with its alpine landscapes, trails and (very) refreshing mountain lakes, which offers a perfect cool down in hot summer months.

It is a hike named 3-Seen-Wanderung, where you’ll encounter four lakes, and you can choose in which one you’ll take a dip!

Not far away from Innsbruck, reachable by car or by public transport, is the starting point of the hike. The hike takes about three hours and is a circular walk with a beautiful view over the Tyrolean mountains.

For the slightly less motivated people, there is a chairlift, which carries you to 2000 meters effortlessly.

As you can see in the photos, it was too cold for us to jump into the mountain lake, but soon the temperature will be perfect, and you can start the new MCiT semester with fresh energy.
