Excursion to Dublin

Study trip as part of the course "Selected Topics in Business Practice" leads to the capital of Ireland

From March 19 to 22, 2024, the students of the class of 2022 (Castor | Pollux) of our bachelor's program Business & Management had the exciting opportunity to go on a study trip to Dublin, Ireland, together with the Head of Studies Thomas Stöckl and Florian Blösl, research assistant at our department, as part of the course "Selected Topics in Business Practice". The aim of this excursion was to gain practical impressions and apply the knowledge gained in the practical context of various organizations in different industries.

The trip included visits to various companies in Dublin. Our students went to Citigroup, Smart Docklands, Google, the Guinness Enterprise Center, and Dublin Port.

The participants had the opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the structure and design of international organizations. During the trip, students gained insights into the core processes and main functions of the companies visited and were able to observe workflows and business processes first-hand.

The students also had the opportunity to exchange experiences with consultants and managers. This enabled them to gain insights into future fields of activity and make initial contacts for their professional network. The students were also able to gain a diverse understanding of current problems and challenges in business.

We are already looking forward to the poster presentations in which the students will show, among other things, how they would like to benefit from the company visits.
