Benedikt Weber, founder of Sports-Mania, attended the BRG in the Au during his school days. After graduating from high school, he carried out his community service at the Elisabethinum Kindergarten in Axams. In the fall of 2018, Benedikt started his bachelor studies "Business & Management" at the Management Center Innsbruck. Even before he began his studies, Benedikt had always been keen on the idea of running his own company and realizing a start-up idea.

Having found it difficult to engage in various sports where it is not necessary to make binding membership commitments to clubs or associations, he founded Sports-Mania in the fall of 2018. During his studies and through attending Career Center events, Benedikt was able to gain important insights into entrepreneurship. Subjects such as accounting, marketing and business law also taught important fundamentals that are essential for the foundation and management of a company.

Benedikt also made use of the MCI's start-up support, which developed interesting contacts with the marketing team, the Tirol business start-up center and the MAD Group. The Winter School "Digital Entrepreneurship" was also beneficial in further refining the company and developing new marketing strategies.
