EU-HEM SUMMER SCHOOL 2022

The master program European Health Economics & Management (Eu-HEM) is jointly offered by MCI | The Entrepreneurial School^®, the Universities of Bologna and Oslo, as well as Erasmus University Rotterdam.

From July 3 - 7, all first-year Eu-HEM students met in Innsbruck to attend the Eu-HEM Summer School 2022. The title of this year’s summer school was “Manage yourself & your research”. It was a great pleasure to welcome more than 75 Eu-HEM master students and faculty members at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School^®.

The aim of this Eu-HEM Summer School was to prepare students for the master thesis, which will be finalized in the upcoming academic year. A big thank you goes out to the Eu-HEM Track Committee Members who successfully led the Thesis Workshops. For the Thesis Workshop, internal and external faculty from the 4 Eu-HEM partner universities developed a joint workshop concept to equip students with everything they need to implement their own research project.

In addition, the participants had the chance to work on their leadership and self-management skills in workshops offered by leadership experts. Sonja Karbon, founder of Karbon Consulting, showed in her sessions on Mindfulness Leadership how important student’s own resources are. In another workshop with Alexander Gstrein, who is Officer for Didactics and Methodology at the Theresian Military Academy, students could explored different concepts and perspectives on leadership.

In addition to the exciting workshops, we made sure that there were enough opportunities to discover the city of Innsbruck and its culinary highlights. During a guided city tour and a joint dinner at the Nordkette mountain, Innsbruck presented itself from its best side.

A special feature this year was the opportunity to organize the Eu-HEM Summer School organized as “Blended Intensive Program” supported by the European Commission.
