News in the Master Program International Business & Law

Updated curriculum from winter semester 2019/2020 onwards – based on current developments in business practice and suggestions of students – "Digital Business" and "International HR Management" as new electives

Many future graduates are faced with an important decision prior to completing their bachelor degree: Career or postgraduate studies?

The International Business & Law Master's program, with its proven "job-friendly” time model (courses from Wednesday noon to Saturday), facilitates working while studying.

The positioning of the studies at the interface between (international) business administration and international and European business law enables students to deal with interdisciplinary issues. The simultaneous understanding of economic and legal interrelations in business processes contributes significantly to profound training of future executives. Graduates are especially characterized by a high level of problem-solving skills in economic and legal issues.

From winter semester 2019/2020 onwards, the Master’s program will start with a significantly revised curriculum. The focus will be on completely new elective modules in the fields of "Digital Business" and "International Human Resource Management". Students can thus tailor their curriculum during their studies according to their personal interests. The focus on strategy, mergers & acquisitions and international accounting, controlling & finance has also been strengthened.

Moreover, a constantly expanding range of partner universities contributes to the attractiveness of the Master program. Just recently, the renowned Stockholm Business School has been acquired as a partner. With the completion of a Double Degree stay at universities in Milan (degree: Laurea Magistrale), London (degree: LL.M.) or Edinburgh (degree: M.Sc.), students have the unique chance of being awarded a second degree.

The study tour offered in the context of the "General Management Experience" course has also been further optimized. An ideal opportunity to network abroad and to establish contacts with potential employers (in recent years, the chosen destination has been Ireland with company visits to top employers such as Google, Apple, Dell, AirBnB, Salesforce, Oracle but to mention a few).
