The MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®, as a member of the European University alliance Ulysseus, is coordinating the Innovation Hub Food, Biotechnology & Circular Economy - one out of six partner-spanning innovation centres to shape Europe’s future. In the course of the first Ulysseus Summer School ̶ in cooperation with Biotechnet Switzerland ̶ which took place from 12. to 15. September in Innsbruck, the first COMPASS Researcher Workshop was also held on the 14. and 15. September.
Researchers from nine different universities, including France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Slovakia, were meeting to discuss project acquisition in an interactive atmosphere. Beside networking activities, a main focus of this workshop was set on the preparations for two EU-HORIZON calls. Under the professional guidance and moderation of Mária Radvanská from the University of TUKE (Slovakia) and Gabriela Ayala (MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®), two project consortia could be established and concrete ideas for projects were analysed, discussed and implemented hands-on. The interdisciplinary research contents that emerged in the course of these intensive two days will now be continuously developed and hopefully rewarded with project submissions over the next two years. The Innovation Hub would like to thank the two facilitators, all colleagues involved in the organisation and implementation of this event, as well as all researchers who contributed to a successful process and the wonderful results of this workshop.
