Discovering science first-hand: More than 800 visitors at MCI’s Long Night of Research

This year’s Long Night of Research at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® once again demonstrated just how exciting, accessible and diverse research can be. Through fascinating experiments, interactive stations, live presentations and engaging talks, science was made visible, understandable and, above all, tangible for visitors of all ages.

Across a total of 30 stations, MCI researchers, faculty members and students showcased their work, offering insights into current scientific questions, innovative technologies and forward-looking developments. More than 850 visitors took the opportunity to experience research up close, conduct experiments themselves and engage directly with experts.

The event highlighted the breadth of MCI’s research activities and its ontribution to social and technological progress. Topics such as water and environmental research, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and digital technologies were presented in an accessible and inspiring way, inviting visitors to discover, explore and participate.

The Long Night of Research once again showed that innovation begins where curiosity meets knowledge. MCI is already looking forward to being part of this nationwide celebration of science again in 2028, continuing to make research accessible and inspiring for a broad audience
