This year, 20 students had the exclusive opportunity to participate in the renowned Ludwig Erhard Gipfel at Lake Tegernsee with MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® -one of Germany’s most important economic conferences, referred to by ARD as the “German Davos.”
Under the motto “Germany after the election – Is the new economic miracle coming now?” from May 7 to 9, leading figures from business, politics, science, media, and society gathered once again to discuss pressing future issues
At the heart of the debates were concrete economic policy measures aimed at strengthening Germany as a business location. Topics included energy policy, a realignment of international trade, the necessity of modernizing the state in the digital age, reducing obstructive bureaucracy, strengthening European cooperation, and improving location attractiveness through an innovation-friendly business environment.
A particular highlight was the #DieBusinessPunk event, which brought together the themes of artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. It showcased how technological innovations and economic responsibility jointly enable forward-looking solutions— for example, in mobility, civil and homeland security, and industry. Startups play a crucial role here by bringing fresh ideas and agile approaches into these developments.
The participation offered the students valuable insights into economic future challenges and made clear the important role young talents play. The Ludwig Erhard Gipfel 2025 impressively demonstrated that Germany and Europe face significant geopolitical challenges. At the same time, it became clear that smart decisions now offer opportunities to take an active role in a technology-driven era.
