The dual study program Smart Building Technologies was also strongly represented at this year's Research Forum of Austrian Universities of Applied Sciences: In the "Let' s apply technology!", "Let's apply collaboration" and "Let's apply digitalization!" tracks, a research project and the progress of the first thesis projects of the dual bachelor's degree course were presented.
In the "Let's apply digitalization!" track, Julian Huber presented the research project on air quality optimization in educational institutions using a lecture hall study, carried out with Silvia Öttl and across MCI with the University of Innsbruck. Seven students of the cohort of 2021 gave insights into their respective Bachelor's thesis projects in the form of poster presentations. This allowed these first thesis projects to be presented to a wider specialized audience and the students to gain valuable experience in the scientific discourse.
Lea Ladner (master's degree program Environmental, Process and Energy Technology") also presented her Master's thesis project, supervised by SBT lecturer Silvia Öttl, in the form of a poster.
The SBT students were also particularly pleased about the lively exchange with their lecturers from the MCI departments Medical & Health Technologies and Mechatronics present at the forum: Manuel Berger and Matthias Panny also presented their current research projects in the form of poster contributions and lectures.
