Study Program: International Business & Law (Master)
How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?
In addition to theoretical knowledge, a course of study at the MCI teaches problem-solving skills, self-confidence in speaking and presenting freely, and makes a significant contribution to building up and developing social skills - precisely those skills that are essential in professional life. Performing to the best of one's ability under time pressure is part of everyday life in one’s professional life and is a reality at MCI. This may not sound desirable at first glance, but it is incredibly important. The MCI is known above all for its international orientation. At the same time, however, it should not be forgotten that the MCI has meanwhile developed into THE leading educational institution in the Tyrol, significantly shaping the research- and study landscape in our region and thus making a contribution to the further development of Tyrol as a location brand. I would like to continue this contribution with my current professional activities. I would like to promote my home region and regional value creation and thus help shape a livable Tyrol as a business location.
When I look back at my time at MCI...
...I see the five years of bachelor's and master's studies as a time in which I have developed significantly personally and in which many formative events have taken place that have made me the person I am today. It is a time of growing up, the development from a teenager to a young woman, from a high school graduate/student to a graduate/career entrant.
What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?
I would encourage the person to think very hard about their choice of study, to take the time to explore their interests, and to apply to those programs that appeal most to them in terms of content. If one enjoys and is passionate about what he or she is doing, studying will become that milestone in his or her personal development that I described at the beginning.
