As an MCI partner and sponsor of many years’ standing, Raiffeisen-Bankengruppe Tirol sees academic training as a significant social asset and a central resource for corporate development. In the framework of a cooperation agreement with the Entrepreneurial School®, the following scholarships are announced for 2017:

Scholarship worth EUR 3,000 for a participation in the Certificate Course "Management, Psychology & Leadership" (starts on May, 19th 2017)

Two scholarships worth EUR 1,000 each for students of MCI who wish to spend their semester abroad at a university in a non-EU country

Raiffeisen Award 2016

This year’s Raiffeisen Award worth 3,000 euros has been won by Simone Wasserer. The scholarship will enable Wasserer to complete the certificate program in Personal Management at MCI. Over the course of her professional career, she has increasingly come in touch with tasks at the interface of human resource development and management. The jury not only praised Wasserer’s professional qualification, but also her social skills and exceptional potential for complementary activities in the field of human resources.

Johannes Hofer (Master program Management, Communication & IT), Simone Arlt (Masterprogram Food Technology & Nutition) and Georg Hofer (Bachelor program Tourism Business Study )are each to receive scholarships worth EUR 1,000. Johannes is planning to spend the next study year at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Simone is researching at the National University of Singapore, while Georg is off to the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. The winners stood out thanks to their excellent performance as students to date, their convincing application dossiers, and their impressive plans for the rest of their studies and their future career.

This year’s Raiffeisen Award worth 3,000 euros has been won by Rosemarie Lechner, whose curriculum vitae – with all its diversity – reflects a consistent focus on an impressive value and target system: appreciation of others – sense of responsibility – professionalism. The scholarship will help Ms Lechner to take the MCI’s Executive Certificate course in Management, Psychology & Leadership. As a future manageress, she would like to contribute to a modern self-image for women between the twin poles of career and family.

Raiffeisen Award 2014


The Raiffeisen Award worth 3,000 euros has been won by Andrea Spiß, a trainer at Sandoz with responsibility for training apprentices in the field of chemistry, who will soon have completed a part-time Bachelor’s program in Food & Bioresource Technologies. Andrea Spiss convinced the jury with her impressive past record, an excellent presentation of her potential for future development and her ambitious professional goals.

The Raiffeisen International Award was announced for students wishing to spend their semester abroad at a third-country university. Scholarships worth 1,000 euros each were awarded to Stefan Hackl, who is studying Business & Management at the MCI, for a semester at Stetson University (USA) and to Julia Elisabeth Römer, who is enrolled in the MCI’s Tourism Business Studies program, for a semester at the University of Central Florida (USA). In both cases, the decision was made on the basis of their excellent performance as students to date and their convincing application dossiers.
