The City

Montevideo is the largest city, the capital and chief port of Uruguay. Montevideo is the only city in the country with a population over 1,000,000. According to Mercer Human Resource Consulting, Montevideo provides the highest quality of life in Latin America.

The University

The Universidad Católica del Uruguay Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga is a private university in Uruguay opened in 1985 (from various previous catholic teaching institutions). It was the only private university of the country for 11 years until 1996.

It is mainly located in Montevideo (with 6 locations in the city), but has also 2 other locations (one in Maldonado, Uruguay and one in Salto, Uruguay).
