The Dublin region is the economic center of Ireland, and was at the forefront of the country's economic expansion during the Celtic Tiger period. It is also the largest center of education in Ireland and is home to four universities as well as a number of other higher education institutions. Besides many parks, Dublin has many landmarks and monuments dating back hundreds of years, one of the oldest is Dublin Castle.
