European Health Economics & Management

The European Master in Health Economics and Management (Eu-HEM) is a unique international joint degree program which offers interdisciplinary studies of methods and economics, management, leadership, policy, governance and law at four European universities. Consortium partners are:
 Euhem  
  • Management Center Innsbruck (MCI)
  • Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR)
  • The University of Bologna (UniBo)
  • The University of Oslo (UiO)
This master program prepares students for careers in the healthcare sector by developing competences and expertise in the field of health economics and policy, healthcare management, health law and regulation. Eu-HEM is a two year 120 ECTS program, offering six fields of specialization:

  1. Management of Healthcare Institutions
  2. Economic Evaluation in Healthcare
  3. Health Economics (Research Track)
  4. Decision Making in Healthcare
  5. Global Health
  6. Healthcare Finance and Management

Students start with harmonized first semester courses at one of the consortium partners and depending on the specialization, they will study at least at two partner universities. At the Management Center Innsbruck, Eu-HEM is interconnected with the study offer of the master program International Health and Social Management.

An international education is key for future leaders in the field of health care. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a joint diploma in European Master in Health Economics and Management, recognized and signed by all four partner universities.
