When I look back at my time at MCI...
I think back on a very intense, exciting, and wonderful phase of my life. The lectures given by lecturers from industry were particularly formative, as they conveyed practice-oriented knowledge based on extensive professional experience. I also fondly remember the many fun and long weekends spent in Innsbruck with my fellow students – both at MCI and beyond. Friendships were formed during this time that still exist today and continue to be enriched by professional exchange.
How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?
Through the broad-based knowledge in both technical and economic disciplines, I am able today to quickly familiarize myself with new projects and understand the interrelationships between business and technical issues. I gain the greatest benefit from the soft skills courses, whose methods help me to form and motivate project teams and to collaborate effectively.
Furthermore, the insights into various disciplines offered by the program enable me to better comprehend complex organizational relationships and to develop understanding for colleagues from other departments.
What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?
If you are looking for a challenge and a degree program that combines engineering, business, and practical relevance, then Industrial Engineering & Management at MCI is the right choice. Your time at MCI will challenge you and push you to your limits. But in the end, every single effort is worth it – even in moments when you consider giving up. Persevere, it is worth it.
