Study Program: Mechatronics & Smart Technologies (Bachelor & Master)

When I look back at my time at MCI...

I remember some very exciting and constructive years. Although the part-time studies required a lot of sacrifices in my private life; looking back this choice was definitely worth it. Together with my fellow students, with whom I am still friends five years after graduation, I have also experienced many wonderful moments.

How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?

Through my studies, I was able to receive a fairly broad and, above all, well-founded technical foundation.

This helped a lot for my job as a team leader in simulation. In addition, the high level of scientific work that is required in the mechatronics degree program was also crucial for my later success in professional life. The additional lectures in Management and Key Competencies are particularly beneficial to my current role, and I wouldn't want to miss them in any case.

What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?

The range of part-time degree programs and the close link to practice (most of our lecturers came from renowned companies) certainly make the MCI unique. The part-time courses are clearly different from the usual distance learning courses because they include the same number of classroom lectures as the full-time courses. In addition, the management team of the program has always endeavored to keep the level of study correspondingly high. All of this makes studying at the MCI very challenging, but also all the more valuable for further professional life.
