STRUCTURE & CONTENTS

The MBA Digital Business & Entrepreneurship Master program offers a first-class further education and specialization in digital business that is practical and immediately applicable from day one.

The "New Economy" is revolutionizing entire business models, working environments and processes. In this area of conflict, the MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® has developed an innovative, internationally oriented MBA program for executives, entrepreneurs and decision-makers that is uniquely suited to these new requirements.

In addition to the unique content orientation, the program follows the mobile learning concept (blended learning) developed at the MCI. The intelligent mix of compact attendance phases in Innsbruck as well as synchronous and asynchronous online phases makes it possible to make the study program largely independent of time and place, thus distinguishing it clearly from a conventional distance-learning program.

Stage I:

Introductory phase: Basics of business administration, basics in digitization and IT
Depending on previous education and academic qualifications, previous knowledge can be accredited at this stage, on request.

Stage II:

Stage II deals with the potential benefits of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain or the Internet of Things. Approaches for designing an innovation-friendly ecosystem as well as modern start-up methods for successful implementation in new and existing companies are discussed. Practical cases and a final capstone project ensure an application-oriented examination of the topics.

Stage III:

Level III is held entirely in English. The focus is on the strategic aspects of digitization in an international context. Concrete topics are Organizational Behavior, Digital Transformation, Entrepreneurship & New Venture Creation, Strategic Management, Global Macroeconomics.

Stage IV:

Preparation of a Master thesis on a scientific level, which deals with a problem within one’ own organization or their respective professional environment. The upshot is the final transfer of the acquired knowledge into one’s own professional practice taking place.

The postgraduate Master program Digital Business & Entrepreneurship extends over two years and can be studied while working. The MCI's innovative blended learning concept combines synchronous and asynchronous learning phases with attendance phases, thus allowing for maximum flexibility in terms of time and location.

The attendance phases are completed in eight two- to three-day seminars, each of which takes place on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The rest of the study program takes place in an interactive mode via the modern and highly developed online learning environments of the MCI and the Investment Punk Academy.

About 2/3 of the courses are held in German (levels I + II) and about 1/3 in English (level III).

An intelligent mix of online phases, attendance modules and electronic media combines location-independent study with personal interaction between lecturers and students. The didactic concept thus differs fundamentally from a typical distance-learning program while meeting the highest demands.
