Ulrike Tagscherer studied geography, political science, and Chinese studies at Heidelberg University. She has spent 17 years at the Fraunhofer Society, initially working in business development in Asia, then seven years as an innovation scientist in China, and finally two years in business model development.
She then moved to robotics and automation specialist KUKA AG, where she has been heading up innovation activities across various business areas since 2019.
In 2024, Ulrike Tagscherer was honored by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) as one of ten women shaping the future of robotics.
