MCI Climate Action | #sustainable MCI

At MCI | The Entrepreneurial School we recognise the great responsibility we have as an educational and research institution. Not only do we educate specialists, professionals and leaders of the future, but we also contribute to innovation and knowledge creation, and we have access to a worldwide community of alumni, partner institutions and networks, and act as a role model for many people.

We have joined the Climate Alliance in order to send a clear signal that environmental and climate protection are central concerns for us, which we take seriously and in which we as a university invest specifically.

We are committed at various levels to helping shape a socially just as well as ecologically and economically sustainable future.

In teaching: Our students can learn about sustainability in various forms in a wide range of courses both in their degree programs and in additional programs (e.g. MCI Badges).

In research: MCI researchers are working on sustainability projects, contributing to Agenda 2030 and the SDGs in various forms.

On campus: We are committed to continuously adapt our working practices so we can reduce our environmental impact (especially in the areas of energy, waste, mobility, procurement). By joining the Climate Alliance in November 2022, we have set ourselves a number of goals that we are working to achieve.

In the community: We aim to create broad awareness of sustainability, and to contribute to the sustainable development of our regional and international spheres of activity. To this end, we work closely with our local and global partners.

We also know that sustainable development can only be truly successful in cooperation with others. In this sense, our Climate Alliance partnership is also intended to promote an expansion of cooperation with the Climate Alliance itself and its wider network, building on already existing initiatives.
