What more reliable way can there be to assess the quality of a university than with the help of academic investigations, independent media, external decision makers and clients?
The results provide for objectivity and transparency and as such are a source of orientation on today’s increasingly complex higher education market. Participation in university benchmarking programs, rankings and polls generates contact, dialog and comparison with other universities and thus creates the basis for continuous development, optimization and innovation.
The recently published Comparison of Universities 2023 by the international Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) once again delivers excellent results for the MCI.
The subject of the CHE University Comparison 2023 were Bachelor's degree programs in the field of Business & Social Sciences as well as Industrial Engineering, thus for the MCI the following Bachelor's degree programs:
Without exception, students awarded top ratings for all degree programs, with excellent 4 and 5-star ratings (with a maximum of 5 stars to be awarded as the top grade!). In the comprehensive student evaluation, the MCI is above average for all participating universities in almost all indicators.
Above all, the evaluating students appreciated the study organization, the support provided by the lecturers, the practical relevance, the introduction to scientific work, the digital learning environment, the support during studies and the preparation for studying abroad.
In addition, students gave top ratings for the contacts with professional practice as well as the career orientation, the reliable duration of studies within the designated time and the comprehensive support at the beginning of the studies.
In 2022, the MCI once again took part in the Universum Career Test. Universum is the global market leader in employer branding and talent management. The global company, based in Sweden, conducted the survey in Austria from November 2021 to July 2022 among 9,774 students. The results are part of the world's largest career test of its kind among more than 1 million students and young professionals. 770 survey participants were students of the MCI in Innsbruck and gave top scores to the Entrepreneurial School®.
The Entrepreneurial School® achieved excellent results in several categories of this year's survey, placing well above the Austrian average. The MCI scored an outstanding 7.5 points for general university satisfaction, compared to the Austrian average of 7.2. Students are also highly content with the MCI's Career Services, rating the wide range of services offered at 7.3 points, while the overall Austrian score is 6.5.Furthermore, the survey assessed students' satisfaction with online courses and career services during COVID-19. MCI received top ratings from students in both areas. Online courses during COVID-19 reached 7.3 points, compared to an Austria-wide score of 6.8.MCI students of Life Sciences gave particularly high ratings: 80% would choose to study at the Entrepreneurial School® again and award an impressive 8.2 points for general university satisfaction in natural sciences.For the second year in a row, the Entrepreneurial School® was awarded the Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Employability, an award that reflects MCI's extraordinary commitment to promoting the employability of its students.

Once again, the renowned "U-Multirank", initiated by the European Commission, lists MCI as a top performer among the numerous universities and colleges taking part. With 16 top ratings, the Entrepreneurial School® also tops the Austrian ranking.
The Entrepreneurial School® received excellent ratings in the categories "Teaching & Learning" and "Knowledge Transfer". The qualification as well as the didactic skills of the research and teaching staff are awarded top scores. The fact that students generally complete their bachelor's and master's degrees within the minimum period of study is also particularly appreciated. In addition, the close cooperation with companies, numerous partnerships and spin-off activities contribute to a beneficial knowledge transfer.

Once again, the Entrepreneurial School® has scored outstanding results in the University Ranking by the Centre for Higher Education (CHE).
This year's ranking focuses on study programs in the field of Technology & Life Sciences. The following MCI Bachelor's degree programs were evaluated:
Among the numerous indicators included in the evaluation, the MCI scored particularly well in terms of study organization, IT infrastructure and employability (career orientation & preparation).
The evaluation also included the master's programs
which were able to position themselves in the top fields as well. They could excel in categories, such as the close contact with professional practice, the duration of studies and the intensive support at the beginning of studies.
With 3 out of 5 "Palms of Excellence" the Entrepreneurial School® was ranked among the best Austrian universities in the Eduniversal Business School Ranking 2021. The ranking is published annually and takes the 1,000 best universities worldwide into account.
Within the award-winning universities from 154 countries, the MCI additionally receives the distinction "Excellent Business School with reinforcing international influence", which is only awarded to 400 universities worldwide.
Eduniversal, headquartered in Paris, is a global ranking and rating agency specializing in the evaluation of higher education institutions and programs of study and assisting prospective students in their choice of study. Special consideration is given to various quality and internationalization criteria such as the results of accreditation procedures, rankings and international university partnerships when awarding the "Palmes of Excellence".
For the third time in a row, the renowned "u-Multirank", initiated by the European Commission, lists the MCI among the "Global Top 25 Performers". MCI receives the label in the category “Cooperation index” which includes the collaboration with strategic research partnerships, students in international joint degrees, students in internships as well as international co- publications.
In addition, the Entrepreneurial School® was also able to pick up excellent results in the category "Teaching & Learning". Above all, students appreciate that a high number of students complete their bachelor and master studies in the minimum period of study, but also that there is a high gender balance.
The MCI also received excellent results in the category "International Orientation". In particular, student mobility, foreign-language master programs and international academic staff receive top ratings.

U-Multirank examines various dimensions and analyses not only large and traditional universities, but also focuses on smaller as well as specialized universities. In total, the feedback of more than 100,000 students on the quality of their university was taken into account.

In 2021, 74% of all students said they would choose to study at the MCI again, while the average value for re-choosing a university attended across Austria is 68%.
New this year is the survey of satisfaction with online courses and Career Services during COVID-19. MCI has above-average student ratings on both counts: satisfaction with online courses during COVID-19 scored 7.7 points, compared to an Austria-wide average of 6.8, while satisfaction with Career Services during COVID-19 scored 7 points, compared to 6 points in Austria overall.
MCI students also awarded an exceptional 7.4 points for Career Services, compared to an average score of 6.3 in Austria. In addition, MCI students are particularly enthusiastic about the excellent education offered, the attractive location of the Entrepreneurial School®, the friendly and open environment at MCI, the outstanding employment opportunities, and innovation and entrepreneurship in the survey.
The Entrepreneurial School® once again achieves top ranking results in the Industry Magazine ranking.
With an image score of 2.26 (Scoring based on school grading system), the MCI once again achieved a place in the top 3 in this year's evaluation. A high degree of internationality is regarded as a key competence at the MCI. A demanding admission process brings the best students from all over the world, specifically from 85 countries, to the Entrepreneurial School® in Innsbruck. The international staff also contributes to the success of the university, with 35 countries currently represented.
For the rankings published in an issue of the Austrian business medium, 150 HR managers in Austrian companies with at least 50 employees were surveyed at random on a representative basis according to province, sector and company size in cooperation. The survey was conducted by the opinion research institute Online Access Panel.
CHE UNIVERSITY RANKING 2020 - Master's programs in economics
With a total of 42 outstanding ratings in the top group, the master's programs in the field of economics achieve excellent rankings in the comparison of universities by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE). Especially in the category 'Contact with professional practice' all surveyed study programs achieved excellent ratings.
The MCI Master's program "Management, Communication & IT" achieved particularly good results. The master's program received an excellent overall rating and was particularly convincing in terms of the organization of studies, support during studies and the transition to the master's program.
The master's programs "Entrepreneurship & Tourism", "International Business & Law" and "International Business & Management" also received excellent ratings for study organization and the transition to the master's program.

Quality is no coincidence, but the result of many years of consistent work - the latest MCI Alumni Survey once again confirms this statement. MBA RANKING 2020
In the MBA ranking of the Austrian ‘Industry Magazine’, the Entrepreneurial University® received the second best recommendation rate amongst all Austrian MBA providers examined.
According to the study, MCI features a high recommendation rate as well as above-average brand awareness. Years ago, the MCI began converting its MBA programs to a blended learning concept with mobile and online formats. Working students not only want an MBA program that promotes career development and prepares them for international challenges in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, but also that its didactic format is suitable for managers whose professional activities cannot be limited to a single location. The online elements thus improve the compatibility of work, further education and family. Students come to the campus to get to know each other, for the personal exchange between students and lecturers and for the important networking opportunities.
Executives opt for an MBA at MCI to improve their professional and personal development. In addition to the flexibility that comes with online learning, managers also value personal interaction, joint learning opportunities and networking directly at the university.
In March 2020, the opinion research institute IMAD surveyed 151 managing directors and human resource managers of Austrian companies on behalf of the ‘Industry magazine’. The survey examined the level of awareness of Austrian MBA providers, the willingness to recommend MBA providers to others and basic expectations of an MBA program. The top 100 companies in each federal state formed the population of the survey.
The MCI once again achieved excellent results in the university comparison conducted by the International Center for Higher Education (CHE). This year the study programs in economics, social sciences and industrial engineering and management were assessed. The Entrepreneurial School® achieved 88 places in the top group, which corresponds to 60% of all quality factors evaluated and 50 places in the middle group.

With the Industry Magazine Ranking 2020, the Entrepreneurial School® chalks up another victory: MCI won this year's ranking while achieving an impressive image value of 1.66 (rating in the school grading system). The current University Comparison carried out by the International Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) once again provides excellent results for the Entrepreneurial School®, which secured 36 places in the top positions with its quality-oriented technical and scientific courses. The globally active company conducted the survey in Austria from November 2018 to March 2019, which involved 10,256 students. The results are part of the world's largest career test of its kind, involving more than 1 million students and young professionals alike.
The survey results demonstrate highest rates of MCI student satisfaction with their university. This equivocates to 8.1 out of 10 possible points, which clearly sets it apart from the Austrian average of 7.5. The students are particularly satisfied with the international recognition and international orientation of their university, the open and friendly environment at an attractive university location, and the pronounced prestige associated with an MCI education, with regard to the development of individual careers and career paths. This is also reflected in the impressive evaluation of Career Services. The students scored this with an outstanding 8 points, while the Austrian average is 6.5 points.

Universum, the global specialist in employer branding and talent management, again conducted a survey among 10,125 students in Austria in 2018. The survey was focused on university perceptions, soft skills and career ambitions. The results of the Universum Talent Survey 2018 are part of the world's largest career test of its kind, with over one million students and young professionals surveyed annually.
The University Report, as part of the Universum Talent Research 2018, once again posted a top score for general university satisfaction for MCI with 8.1 out of 10 points. Asked once again about the choice of study, 85% of students would again choose to study at MCI. Austria wide, this score amounts to 7.3 points or 68%. MCI's Career Services stand out exceptionally well: Students award an excellent 8.1 points, while the Austrian average is 6.4 points.
The focal point of the large-scale survey was again put on career services, career expectations and university satisfaction. In was shown that MCI students particularly appreciate the international orientation and recognition of the entrepreneurial school, the entrepreneurial attitude as well as the practice-oriented studies at MCI, which are reflected in excellent relations with employers and a high employment rate of graduates. MCI's Career Services were also rated very highly.
MCI has now participated in the European U-Multirank university ranking for the second time. The results for 2018, published a few days ago once again place the business and social science courses of the Entrepreneurial School® at the top. CHE UNIVERSITY RANKING 2016/17
Management Center Innsbruck has once more achieved excellent results within the framework of the university comparison test by the International Center for Higher Education Development (CHE). This year, the study programs in economics, industrial engineering, and social work were assessed. The Entrepreneurial School® has achieved a sensational 89 postions in the top group.
All of the MCI study programs have achieved excellent results. The "Tourism Business Studies" program even received excellent marks exclusively when assessed by students; Management & Law, Management, Communication & IT, Business & Management, Business Administration, and Social work were also awarded with assessments almost exclusively in the top group.
The CHE university ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world and surveys more than 300 universities and institutions of higher education, 2,700 disciplines and 10,000 study programs.

In the Trendence Graduate Barometer the Entrepreneurial School® excels with an impressive overall score of 2.0 on the scale of 1 (“Very satisfied”) to 7 (“Very dissatisfied”). It thus outperforms all other Austrian universities with an average score of 2.3 as well as its own top results (2.1) from the previous year.
The score represents the students’ overall satisfaction with the university and the study programs that are offered. MCI received high rankings particularly for its lecturers and professors, the practical relevance of its study programs, its international orientation, the support it provides in career development, its counseling and services, as well as its attractive location.
The survey used a rating scale from 1 (“Very satisfied”) to 7 (“Very dissatisfied”). Converted into the Austrian grading scale where 1 is “Excellent” and 5 is “Not sufficient”, MCI’s score corresponds to the outstanding grade of 1.4, and the average score of Austrian universities and institutions of higher education corresponds to the still very good grade of 1.6.

Trendence Graduate Barometer 2016
In the 2016 Trendence Graduate Barometer Europe, MCI surpasses with a score of 2.1 the Austrian (2.5) and European (2.9) average ratings. The scale used ranges from 1 = very satisfied to 7 = very dissatisfied. MCI scored particularly high with regard to the following quality criteria: internationality of training and education, commitment and competence of faculty, practical relevance, career opportunities and services, and student activities.

MBA ranking: MCI achieves top rank again
For the third consecutive year Management Center Innsbruck has scored among the top three in the MBA ranking published by Industriemagazin. MCI’s “General Management Executive MBA” has made it to the top three again. The survey conducted by the IMAD opinion research center confirms the reputation of the Entrepreneurial School® as a top institute for postgraduate studies.
According to the survey, MCI boasts growing name recognition rates as well as an above-average referral rate. The poll tested name recognition and image as well as the usefulness of Executive MBA programs, which was assessed by 151 human resource managers and CEOs of leading Austrian companies. Some of the key benefits named by survey participants were the deepening of know-how in familiar and complimentary fields of expertise as well as the individual development of personal networks and skills.
MCI at the top of the CHE College and University Ranking 2015/16
The current College and University Ranking of CHE publishes excellent results for Management Center Innsbruck: With high-quality study programs in technology and natural sciences, MCI has achieved 40 positions among the top German-speaking universities.
The following study programs offered at the Entrepreneurial School® have been distinguished by the renowned CHE Ranking: Biotechnology, Mechatronics, Environmental, Process & Energy Engineering, and Food & Bioresource Technology. MCI students are particularly satisfied with the support they are provided by their university. Also the modern equipment of seminar rooms and laboratories has been evaluated with top grades. Students moreover appreciate the introductory phase of the study programs at MCI, which helps freshmen to find their way in the new academic environment.
The study program in Biotechnology in particular distinguishes itself from similar courses due to its professional relevance, practicality, and opportunities for studies abroad. The study program in Mechatronics received top grades for practicality as well as its library facilities.
Comparing more than 300 colleges and universities, 2.700 divisions, and 10.000 study programs, the CHE College and University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world. Every year, one third of the subjects are reassessed.

Universum Ranking 2015
The MCI the only Austrian university to be placed among the top 3 in all categories in this year’s Universum ranking: first place for Best Career Service, second place for Best Employability, second place for Brand Perception.
The Universum ranking 2015 (Universum Talent Research) has again put the MCI at the top of all Austrian universities; the Entrepreneurial School® is the only university in Austria to be placed among the first 3 in all categories.
This year is the first time the prestigious awards have been made in three categories: In one category, students were asked how satisfied they were with the services provided by the Career Center (Best Career Service Satisfaction Award) and, with 7.9 out of 10 points, the MCI was the clear winner in the whole of Austria, followed by Leoben with 7.0 points. The other categories were employability, i.e. the degree to which students are equipped for the job market (Best Employability Rating Award), and the general level of students’ satisfaction with their university (Best University Brand Perception Award). In both cases the MCI came second. In the Brand Perception category, the MCI had an outstanding score of 8.3 points compared with the Austrian average of 7.3 points.

For the extremely high level of satisfaction of its international student body, the MCI has been chosen for the Very Good International Student Satisfaction Award 2015, which is made by the global student platform StudyPortals. The award was based on an evaluation of more than 17,000 student reviews. These reviews provide valuable feedback into the universities’ performance from the student point of view. The MCI finished up with an outstanding score of 8+ out of 10.
