A part-time study program is organized in such a way that students can pursue employment. The semester times of the Business & Management for Professionals program are therefore as follows

        Winter semester: mid-September - mid-February

        Summer semester: mid-February - mid-July

All courses are organized in the form of "blended learning" (face-to-face courses, non-present study time);
MCI Webinars: One evening per week, interactive face-to-face teaching takes place at MCI on Friday from 14:30 - 22:00 and on Saturday from 8:30 - 16:30.

Graduates of the program are conferred the academic title of Bachelor of Arts in Business, in short BA or B.A. This is attested by a leaving certificate, the Bachelor diploma, the international diploma supplement, and further documents where relevant. MCI Alumni are entitled to combine their academic degree with the brand “MCI” to provide trust and orientation in an increasingly intransparent international education market. Example: BA (MCI).

Three white gear wheels on an orange circle symbolize basic knowledge and skills for scientific work

Our graduates demonstrate proficiency in applying entrepreneurial thinking and strategies to identify market opportunities, solve complex problems, and create innovative solutions, considering ethical issues.

Learning Goals Business & Management

Upon graduation our students will have the management competencies to bridge theoretical business knowledge and practical challenges.

Our students connect and apply basic management knowledge with current issues in their business environment.

Studying abroad

One of the most essential components of MCI study programs is their international orientation. This is reflected not only in the curriculum and assigned projects, but also in the backgrounds of our faculty and students. Each program also includes the opportunity for students to spend a semester abroad at one of MCI’s many partner institutions.

In the courses of the 6th semester of the part-time Bachelor's degree program Business & Management for Professionals, an integrative, internationally oriented module at one of MCI's partner universities is on the program. With a variety of options that address the special needs of professionals, the module promotes students' understanding of international decision-making and action as well as their intercultural competence.

At MCI, each program of study requires students to complete an integrative internship at a national or international company. Students receive support from the respective department in organizing this internship and are supervised in coordination with the company.

Two students communicating with a third person

Our department and the MCI Career Center regularly provide up-to-date information about internship positions and the situation on the labor market in general.

As part of practice-oriented projects, students are provided with the opportunity to work with local and international businesses. This allows them to immediately apply their newly acquired knowledge in practice and in collaboration with the project team. Their theoretical knowledge is further deepened by a mandatory internship which lasts 13 weeks in total.

The internship in this part-time program is only required from students who do not have professional experience specific to the area of study.

MMMag. Barbara Egger-Russe; Attorney-at-Law at Greiter, Pegger, Kofler & Partner, Austria

As a partner of the law firm Greiter Pegger Kofler & Partner, it is very important to me to introduce students to the principles of legal thinking. I try to pass on my practical experience as a lawyer to the students within the framework of my courses and to sensitize them to possible problem areas.

MMMag. Barbara Egger-Russe; Attorney-at-Law at Greiter, Pegger, Kofler & Partner, Austria

MMag. Reinhard Feichter, CEO at Personal Consulting KG, Italy

As a personnel developer, company consultant and as president of the South Tyrolean Coaching Association, people are the focus of my work. Supporting and mentoring them, learning together and getting stronger is enriching and challenging. Magic formulas usually fail to do justice to the complexity and so it is necessary to find individual, coherent ways and solutions for the current challenges. The same applies to teaching with students. They bring along many exciting questions and experiences and I am happy to share my know-how and understanding with them.

MMag. Reinhard Feichter, CEO at Personal Consulting KG, Italy

Mag. (FH) Mario Moser, MSc; Head of Operational Excellence at Liebherr Gruppe, Austria

As Head of Operational Excellence in the LIEBHERR Group, I am concerned with the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and bear responsibility for the optimal implementation of product development and organizational projects. The lectures I give are based on numerous findings and methods from practical experience in industry and consulting. Related academic and research-oriented approaches complete the discourse during the lectures.

Mag. (FH) Mario Moser, MSc; Head of Operational Excellence at Liebherr Gruppe, Austria
