Applying at MCI is possible at any time - Applications are continuously accepted. An early application is recommended to secure your desired study place.
The dates of the written and/or oral admission procedure can be found on the website of the relevant program of study and will be communicated to you by email upon receiving your application.

The following dates apply for all Executive Programs (except seminars).
Please note: Applications are still possible for Executive Master programs with start of studies in autumn 2019. Further details can be found on the respective course pages.
In the course of the application process, MCI will verify your documents and check whether the admission requirements of the respective course are met. The following criteria apply:
The program accepts individuals with a higher education entrance qualification (Matura, Abitur, relevant vocational qualification, or other school leaving certificate that allows them to matriculate at a higher education institution and study).
Prospective students are not required to have completed the school leaving examination by the time of application. In the case of admission, the relevant certificate may be handed in later. Please include the most recent certificate in your application.

Higher education entrance examination
In general, applicants are eligible for admission to study at MCI if they have completed the higher education entrance examination in subjects corresponding to the subjects required by the respective course of study. The higher education entrance examination may be taken, for example, at the University of Innsbruck.

Relevant vocational qualification & additional examinations
Applicants with a relevant professional qualification, such as a certificate of apprenticeship, master craftsman certificate, or advanced technical certificate, may be admitted if they successfully complete additional examinations in German, English, Mathematics, and Physics. Applicants without higher education entrance qualification are required to take the additional examinations as part of the MCI admission procedure.
Admission to a Master’s program requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. Further information can be found on the respective subpages of the Master's program under "Admission".

Once all required application documents have been received, the department responsible for your desired course of study will verify the documents and check whether the requirements for admission are met. If all requirements are fulfilled, you will be invited to the written entrance examination and personal interview by email.
You may interrupt or cancel your application at any time during the application period. If desired, we will save your data, enabling you to continue to apply or reapply later on.
Applicants are welcome to apply for more than one study program at the same time, as long as a plausible rationale is given.
Applications for English-language degree courses are accepted in English only.
The admission to the study requires the completion of an admission process, which is divided into the following parts:
Your application must include a brief cover letter as well as a résumé. Your cover letter should explain your interest in, and aptitude for, the course of study to which you would like apply. The résumé should reflect your accumulated life and professional experiences. A particular focus in the evaluation of your application will be placed on your education, professional background, and study as well as career goals.
If your application is received within the application period and all general admission requirements are met, you will be invited to the written entrance examination. This is to assess your suitability for the respective course of study.
The written entrance exam consists of questions on deductive thinking, numerical abilities, long-term memory, English language skills, as well as a study-related personality profile. The exam is computer-based, has a duration of 2 and a half hours and takes place, on-campus, at MCI. Aids such as calculators, dictionaries etc. are not permitted.
Multiple applications
The written entrance exam applies to all business-related studies (see below) and has only to be taken once.

The written entrance examination for business-related Master’s programs, Social Work programs and all programs in the fields of Technology & Life Sciences assesses candidates’ knowledge in fields relevant to the desired course of study. Further information can be found on the respective subpages of the Master's program under "Admission".
All participants in the written entrance examination are also invited to take part in a personal interview, in which the study objectives and motivation of the applicant will be questioned.
Once the admission procedure has been completed, we will assess your results. These will be communicated to you within three weeks of the conclusion of the application process.
