Applied Industrial Projects 2

Course contents
By examining relevant case studies, students learn how to implement aspects of plant and equipment engineering for select sub-processes in the chemical industry. The course integrates the basic procedures of process engineering. Including practical tasks, the course enables students to choose appropriate methods and prepare their application at the scale of industrial production. For the development and design of their projects, they are encouraged to draw on respective physical and chemical foundations.
In the second semester, the focus is on the possible uses of biogenic raw materials including economic considerations based on costing and market observations. The assignments presented to students are designed to increase their range of skills compared to the skills they acquired during the first semester in Applied Industrial Projects 1. Students are thus introduced to the analysis of relevant economic and consumer-related aspects.
